FA Brand - Final Approach

A 23 year old College student currently living in Corvallis, OR, Brett is attending Oregon State University where he is majoring in Education to become a high school social studies teacher. Introduced to waterfowl hunting by his father at the early age of 10, his interest in the sport immediately became much more than a passion; it became a year round obsession. After becoming hooked on the sport of waterfowling he took on the challenge of finishing birds up close day in and day out. By learning how to communicate with birds through calling Brett has become more and more successful each year. Brett grew up hunting Ducks with his father at their local Duck Club on the weekends in Hillsboro, OR. By the time he moved away for College Brett was hunting three to four days a week at what is known as one of the best public waterfowl wildlife management areas in the Pacific Flyway, Sauvie Island. After spending two years at Clackamas Community College on a Baseball scholarship, Brett moved south to Corvallis, OR which is located right in the heart of Oregon’s goose hunting mecca, the Willamette Valley. Fascinated by hunting the seven different subspecies of Canada Geese in the Willamette Valley, Brett has counted on Final Approach decoys, blinds, and gear to help him have the ultimate amount of success year in and year out.

As a pro staff and field staff member of Final Approach, Bill Saunders Calls and JK Waterfowl, Brett takes pride in representing these companies in and out of the field. More than 60 days a year you can find Brett chasing ducks and geese in the fall and winter, along with turkeys in the spring. Brett was also introduced to big game hunting by his grandfather at age 12, which in turn spurred a fondness for Black tail hunting. Outside of his passion for waterfowl hunting, Brett has also applied himself as a High School Football and Baseball coach with hopes of one day coaching at the College Football level.
