Raised in Northwest IN area, I come from a family where the outdoors played very big role in my upbringing. I am very thankful to have a father who introduced me to waterfowling and taught me all about what our great sport has to offer. Living in the area that I do, in close proximity to both Wisconsin, Illinois and Lake Michigan, I have the privilege of hunting some of the most heavily traveled migration routes for waterfowl. From the Horicon Marsh to southern Illinois, my area has some of the best field and water hunting that can be found in the Mississippi flyway. While I enjoy duck hunting, nothing gets my attention more than field hunting Canada geese. When I was a young boy, harvesting a big Giant Canada was like taking a trophy buck in my eyes. That accomplishment has now turned into a relentless pursuit!

I now spend all my days in the field either guiding or pleasure hunting nothing but waterfowl. Being able to work birds and entice them into your spread through the proper combination of decoys, concealment, and calling is the ultimate accomplishment in my mind. Nothing is more important that being in that moment where you know you can count on your gear to finish the deal. I'm very proud to be part of the Final Approach team - a team that not only was the original innovator in the layout blind industry, but continues to be the leader in products for the avid, hardcore waterfowler.
