FA Tales: Hunting with our wives!
My hunting partner and I were on our 4th annual hunting trip to North Dakota. We had been having minimal success on the previous two days of hunting.
Our wives had driven up to get away from the hustle and bustle. We talked them into tagging along to observe the hunt.
We bundled them up for the frosty morning air and headed out to a bean field that we had been scouting.
Once we arrived we set up our spread that consisted of FA Brand blinds and some Foiles FA full body honkers.
We tucked our wives in to some slough grass.
Before we knew it the mallards were all over. They were almost landing on our blinds.
We had our limit of green heads and a few honkers in less than an hour!
Our wives were so excited, especially when a nice big drake almost fell on top of them.
We packed up and pulled out of the field just as the rain started.
Best hunt of the week, can't wait till next year.
I think I will have to buy my wife a license next year.
