Doug is one of the fastest-rising talents in the world of wildlife sculpture today. In just the first seven years of his sculpting career, Doug received top national honors twice from the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep (FNAWS) – in 1999, he was awarded the prestigious title of “Artist of the Year,” and in 2001 he earned the People’s Choice “Best of Show.”

He has earned numerous top awards and honors and high-profile artistic recognition as well as critical and commercial success for his lively, challenging compositions. Marty Hanson
Master Sculptor, Ducks

For 32 years Marty has been making wood gunning decoys for the serious waterfowler and collector. He is one of fewer than eight decoy makers in the world doing this as their full time occupation. With his many years of decoy conservation work, Marty has studied the format, function and techniques of some of the all-time great decoy makers of earlier times, including Elmer Crowell, the Ward brothers, John Dilley, George and James Warin, to name but a few. This exposure to early American working decoys has enabled him to skillfully blend form and function, which is the key to making a quality modern working decoy.

Throughout his 32 years developing world-class decoys, Marty has strived to develop a quality decoy for the serious waterfowler that has great form, paint, realism, and the most detail modern materials and technology can produce.
